about the business

After graduating from an art school with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, it was only natural for Narmeen to immerse herself in a creative field that incorporated color theory, conceptualization, design, and various styles of installation and composition. After graduating, Narmeen worked as an Art Director in the fashion industry for about six years, where flowers were an essential component of the sets she designed.

Carrying forward her love for flowers, when she moved to San Francisco Bay Area, she fell in love with the flower scene here. She was introduced to a wide range of blooms and immediately knew this was meant for her. Working with flowers makes her forget about the world. The thought that flowers can be the most important element of event design or weddings fills her heart with joy, and there is nothing like dedicating her passion to bringing joy to the people she designs for.

SUSTAINABILITY

At NFD, we are extremely conscious of our design practices and the mechanics we use. We strive to keep our arrangements foam-free by finding mechanical solutions that are best for both the environment and the blooms, ensuring they last for days.

Recycling cardboard, paper, previously used mechanics, and green waste helps us create innovative mechanics for our next project, allowing us to achieve near-zero waste. We highly encourage the use of reusable and foam-free mechanics like frog/Kenzan, mesh wire, and custom-created mechanics for installations wherever the size and design allow.
